Even if i was in the place of that girl i use to do same because every one needs to understand the situation and need to change according them i am not suffering with that poverty but when my mom business will get down sometimes really it happens then same like that trouble kid my younger sibling and her father behave and i don't call him as my father biologicaly he is,but not by mentally i used tell my sister my younger one to left some food for mom but those guys never used to that my mom use lie like iam not hungry my stomach is upset and they used to be like see she dont want then why are you forcing us i used keep food for my mom by telling her food is not tasty iam done i don't want anymore please guys mom is also a human being understand the situation and run according to them.
