I agree with what you said about Marry My Husband and Queen of Tears. Marry My Husband was interesting at first but I noticed later that the pacing was rather clunky. The story had a lot of potential but the execution felt lacking. Queen of Tears was beautiful too but I didn't like how their miscarriage was not properly addressed in the end. It was also hurtful that Kim Soo Hyun's character hated Kim Ji Won's character so much that he actually felt happy she was dying. But I guess him repenting for the next 10+ episodes made up for it? 😅 I really wanted that issue to be unearthed and resolved because it was the last straw that broke and caused their marriage to crumble. But the villains had more screentime than the actual reconciliation and healing. It was unnecessary.
Yes! Lovely Runner deserves the number 1 spot. I've been watching Kdramas for over 10 years now and it is indeed one of the most beautiful Kdramas I've seen. It's my most favorite love story now and Sun Jae and Sol are my number 1 couple. Considering the common tropes and rather unremarkable setup, it had the possibility of falling flat or failing. But because of the solid writing, the brilliant directors, the breathtaking acting and chemistry between Byeon Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon, and of course the beautiful OST, Lovely Runner has elevated from the usual romcom to a romcom masterpiece that won the hearts of newbie and veteran Kdrama fans alike. People who criticize it for being boring and repetitive never understood the essence of the love story which was about the purity and unselfishness of love really. And theirs was a cosmic love that defied fate. It was the first time I felt in a romance drama that the happy ending was well-earned. I do agree that Sol's timekeeper granny and the villain's motivations were unclear, but the writer herself and the actors already said that there was no need for any background anymore. So we will just leave it at that. 🤷🏻♀️ Some also found the time traveling confusing but rewatching the show a few times enables you to understand it better and appreciate how well the writer and director evened out the clues and perfectly placed the nuances and lines to connect the events effectively. I enjoy rewatching Lovely Runner because there is always something new to discover everytime I rewatch. It was very well-written. So yeah I agree that Lovely Runner truly deserved the title of Best Kdrama of 2024. And it has become so successful that subsequent Kdramas are copying it now like the ongoing Head over Heels 😂
We can have different opinions on everything in the world except lovely runner. I really can’t be friends with anyone who doesn’t love sol and sunjae sorry not sorry lol

Marry my husband was fantastic and shouldn't be on the bottom of the list. The villains are very well done and I like the two main leads. Some of her top pics I found to be boring and didn't finish it. But Lovely Runner is definitely part of my tip ten.

I'm sorry but ml being happy that his wife was dying was understandable in QoT 💀 why? Bc he wasn't even happy she was dying, he was happy he'd be free. The show had a very comedic lens in the beginning which is why his reaction was exaggerated, but it also means his depression was underplayed. Bro was severely depressed and just going through the motions of life and his "wife" didn't gaf about it… she was letting her family literally abuse him and keep him trapped but he's bad bc he finally saw a way out of it and got happy due to do that? If you've ever been in a situation where you were at the darkest depths and couldn't see a way out but finally saw a light at the end of the tunnel, you'd understand him. Especially bc as you said, it literally only lasted like 1 episode and then he spent the rest of the show repenting, even though she was just as bad as him. Tbh she didn't deserve him
Agree with the rating for Marry my husband but Hierarchy being higher than it is diabolical 💀 same with when the phone rings tbh. Her being the kidnapper plot twist was not enough to save the cringiness of the drama

no offence but i personally did not like lovely runner i feel like the "plot" was to repeated and i did not enjoy it i got bored after they added sun jaes death again it felt like a cycle he dies she goes to past and fixes everything and then it all happens again

SO this is the second time watching this video, when I watched it the first time, I was so offended about her rating marry my husband this way, and I said what is about this lovely runner drama that everyone is obsessed with.
I came here watching the same video again, I still don't agree with her rating for some of the dramas, but LOVELY RUNNER, OMG, after watching this drama it's been months and I couldn't get over it okay? MY FAVORITE KDRAMA OF 2024.

And nothing about QOT was "refreshing" guess which drama has a refreshing Concept CONNECTION AND LIGHTSHOP

I'm so glad you liked Doctor Slump! I did too. It came out during the time I had just graduated from college, and I wasn't finding a job anywhere. I feel like if it weren't for this drama helping me feel understood, I would've spiraled into depression as well.
